Duskfade Abilities: Zirian's Full Movement & Combat Kit

The Minutero

Zirian’s weapon is the Minutero, a blade made from a clock hand. Combat in Duskfade is deliberately readable — the official pitch is a “seamless blend of dynamic platforming and fast-paced combat”, and in practice the platforming is the deep half. Reviewers praise how the whole kit feels in motion; the most common criticism is that pure combat stays simple (see the review roundup).

Traversal Kit

The officially named movement set:

AbilityRole
JumpBaseline platforming; expect double-jump style extensions as the kit grows
DashGround burst movement and dodge tool
GrapplePoint-to-point traversal — opens vertical routes
GlideHorizontal reach — turns gaps into paths

Abilities unlock across the journey rather than up front, and they gate optional content: many collectible paths visibly exist before you can reach them. That’s the game telling you to come back later — the Collectibles guide leans on this constantly.

Upgrade Tracks

Two stat systems grow alongside the ability kit, each with a max-out achievement:

  • Clock Heart Pieces extend your health bar (A Clock Heart Piece a day… — 1.9% of players have maxed it)
  • Temporal Energy extends your resource bar (Advanced Clockmaking — 1.9%)

Both are collectible-driven, scattered across all four worlds — maxing them is part of any 100% run.

Ability Order & Locations

The exact unlock order and where each ability lands in the campaign is being verified against the release build (pre-release sources conflicted with the shipped game in several places, so we verify before we publish). This section will be expanded with per-ability unlock points.
